The APB approach is the structure in which all PLTW modules are developed. The "A" represents the three activities that are included in each PLTW module. The "P" represent the Project and the "B" represents the Problem Based activities that are outlined in each PLTW module.
The APB Instructional Approach starts out really well defined with content driven lessons during the three activity sections of the module. The Project and Problem Based lesson are less defined and require more of a hands-on learning experience. The following slides provide more information pertaining to the APB Approach.
The ENgineering Design Process and the Scientific Inquiery Process outline a set of steps that can be used in conjunction with the APB Approach.
PLTW places an emphasis on developing claims and supporting claims with evidence. The following slides outline how developing claims and evidence can be supported throughout a learning experience.
